Artist Statement
I am a Visual Artist living and working in Scotland. I had a transient childhood traveling to and fro from Britain to Australia. This has had a profound affect on my view of the world, of different cultures and landscapes and influenced my creative practice. My paintings focus on familiar landscapes, forests, mythology and fairytales that evokes a narrative and an emotional response within myself. I am concerned with colour, the exploration of paint and an organic, process-led practice, which facilitates abstraction and the separation from the original image.
